Changelog
What has changed in DokimiAI. The Shopify app and the embed script update themselves, so there is nothing to install. The WooCommerce and PrestaShop plugins are updated from your admin screen or from the download page.
2026-09-16
Applies to: PrestaShop v1.1.1
- Real sizes can now be entered with a decimal. A hoop’s real size is usually fractional (8 mm inner diameter with 2.4 mm wire is 12.8 mm across), and everything after the decimal point used to be dropped, so the same product did not match the size shown by the other ways of using DokimiAI. This covers both the product height and the per-size heights.
- Heights you have already registered carry over unchanged. Nothing needs to be re-entered when you update.
2026-09-15
Applies to: Plugin for paid plans (ZIP) v1.3.3 (WooCommerce, distributed from dokimiai.io)
- Fixed per-size heights no longer applying after a save. If your size names are not written in English, saving the product broke the link between a size and its height, so every size drew at the same scale. Re-save the affected products once and it is fixed.
- Real sizes can now be entered with a decimal. A hoop’s real size is usually fractional (8 mm inner diameter with 2.4 mm wire is 12.8 mm across), and rounding it to a whole millimetre meant the same product did not match the size shown on the main store.
- Fixed two wrong warnings on the product editor: Japanese colour names were shown as escaped text, and images in your own Media Library were reported as missing CORS headers — which is exactly what the warning tells you to do.
2026-09-14
Applies to: Plugin for paid plans (ZIP) v1.3.2 (WooCommerce, distributed from dokimiai.io)
- The download went from about 10MB to about 200KB, so it installs straight from the WordPress admin screen even on shared hosting that caps uploads at 2MB (the large try-on files are served by DokimiAI instead).
- You can now add your own backgrounds, avatars and hats under Settings → DokimiAI → Assets. They appear after the ones included with the plugin, and each box has an option to hide the included set. Leave the boxes empty and nothing changes.
- The paid edition is now a separate plugin from the free WordPress.org build. Until now WordPress offered to “update” the paid edition to the free one, which removed the API key field and the paid features. Your settings and per-product try-on images carry over, and the free edition is switched off automatically on activation.
- When an image or the try-on engine cannot be loaded, an error is now shown instead of sitting on “Detecting…”.
2026-09-02
Applies to: PrestaShop v1.1.0
- You can now register a real size in millimetres for each product. If a product comes in several sizes, register a size in millimetres per size and the try-on redraws at the size the shopper picks.
- Fixed the try-on stopping if you switched to an avatar right after the camera started.
- The product editor now explains that try-on images need a transparent PNG, and warns you when an image is hosted somewhere the shopper’s browser cannot read it.
- With this release the PrestaShop module matches every other way of using DokimiAI.
2026-09-01
Applies to: WooCommerce v1.6.0 (WordPress.org) / paid-plan ZIP v1.3.1 / Shopify (updates automatically) / other online stores (applied automatically)
- You can now register a real height in millimetres for each product. If a product comes in several sizes, register a height per size and the try-on redraws at the size the shopper picks.

- Fixed the try-on stopping if you switched to an avatar right after the camera started. The same fix is now applied to the embed script as well.
- The product editor now explains that try-on images need a transparent PNG, and warns you when an image is hosted somewhere the shopper’s browser cannot read it.
